UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 16, 2015. Eterno, a joint venture run by ChTPZ Group and Rosnano, won in the international Metal Expo 2015 contest; the Group representative was awarded a certificate signed by Russian Trade & Industry Minister Denis Manturov at the exhibition’s solemn opening ceremony.

The Group’s press service says Eterno is now one of the three finalists in Russia’s Metallurgical Event of the Year Contest; the contest was established in 2011 to support and promote the successful innovative projects in the sector. Every year, a panel of judges (who also coordinate the Metal Expo Exhibition) – representatives of leading metallurgical enterprises and research institutes – decides on the winners based on the scale of the candidates’ investment projects, the time it took to implement those, and the amount of investment required (€100m is a minimum).

‘Becoming a partner in this JV produced a tremendous synergizing effect: nanotechnologies improved our products’ operational characteristics and gave us a long-term market advantage. The award is an acknowledgement of our hi tech leadership, and, as shareholders, we are happy to see the company win some recognition,’ says Rosnano’s Managing Director Andrei Gorkov.

The plant took 6.6bn RUR to launch.
