November 20, 2013. Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) took part in the 19th International Industrial Exhibition Metal Expo 2013 held at All-Russian Exhibition Center in Moscow on November 12-15.

714 companies from 37 different countries took part in this largest metallurgical exhibition in Russia and the CIS. Over 30,000 experts visited the participants’ stands today, more than 50 different conferences, presentations, round table discussions, and seminars were held.

‘On the first day of Metal Expo 2013, awards were given to the winners of the Russian Metallurgical Industry’s Event of the Year contest; the competition aims to support and popularize innovative projects in this sector. TMK was one of the winners thanks to its project relating to a steel-smelting and rolling facility at Taganrog Metallurgical Plant. The plant’s arc furnace was launched in August 2013, which meant the plant in particular and the company on the whole could finally stop using the obsolete Martin furnaces as well as increase considerably their own steel-smelting capacity,’ the press release says.
