Koltsovo Airport’s international passenger traffic goes down 27%

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, October 9, 2015. The international passenger traffic at Yekaterinburg Koltsovo Airport dropped by 26.8% between January and September 2015 and thus came to 1.24m people, the airport press service reports.

The overall traffic to Antalya, Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh, Larnaka, Barcelona, Rimini, and destinations in Greece declined by 20% in the three quarters of the year.

Domestic passenger traffic came to 2.9m people, up 14% on a year earlier. The number of passengers travelling to the Black Sea rose by 4.8 times for Simferopol, 80% for Sochi, 10.6% for Krasnodar, and 1.2% for Anapa.

The airport offered its services to 3.33m people this year so far, which is 5.5% less than in the three quarters of 2014. 40 different airlines used the airport to operate flights to 97 destinations.
