Koltsovo Airport services over 3.5m passengers in January-September 2014

October 9, 2014. In the three quarters of 2014, Koltsovo International Airport of Yekaterinburg (a member of Regional Airports Holding) offered its services to 3,544,734 people, which exceeds the figures for the three quarters of 2013 by 7.7%, the airport’s press service reports.
Domestic flights passenger traffic rose by 13.9% and came to 1,839,567 people; 1,705,167 people were passengers on international flights (+1.8% on last year). The number of sorties increased by 4.6% compared with the nine months of 2013 and amounted to 18,585 take-offs.
‘Flights were operated to 120 destinations, including 54 domestic locations and 66 places outside Russia. Haikou, Uray, Kogalym, Ferghana, Patras, and Hannover were among new routes introduced this year. The greatest numbers of passengers still head for Moscow, Antalya, Saint Petersburg, Hurghada, and Sharm El Sheikh. 56 different air carriers have operated their flights from Koltsovo Airport since the beginning of the year, including 32 domestic and 24 foreign airlines. I fly, Astra Airlines, Ellinair, and some others became our new partners in 2014,’ the airport’s press service says.
