Dmitri Medvedev: RAE 2015 gets record number of visitors
14 September 2015 (09:07)
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 14, 2015. Russian Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev had a look at all of the promising developments presented at Russia Arms Expo 2015 and gave the international military vehicles and munitions exhibition a very high estimate.
'Exhibitions like these are major, and successful, sites for demonstrating the newest developments in the Russian arms industry; such events naturally attract a lot of attention. This year's one has received a record number of visitors, with delegations from over sixty different countries (about a third of all the states on this planet, in fact). We've got here representatives of over 160 large businesses and international companies from Turkey, Korea, France, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, and other countries. This international attention is very flattering, of course, since it indicates how interesting our exhibition and our munitions are on the world market. I'd like to comment specifically on the presence of some hi ech stands here. I am positive these companies' contribution to the Russian defense industry will strengthen its scientific and IT components,' Uralvagonzavod Corporation's press service quotes the Prime Minister as saying.
Medvedev also pointed to the fact that the military range used for the exhibition allows for demonstration of the vehicles' firing and combat capacity. This year's exhibition presents many formats and combines both a business agenda and a presentation/information program for all the professionals to see everything Russia has to offer in terms of defense capacity for the country itself and its partners, he said. The official also thanked the event coordinators, residents of Nizhniy Tagil, and everybody else involved in the organization of the exhibition, for the warm welcome.
