UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 11, 2015. The number of those officially registered as job-seekers in Yekaterinburg is four times less than that of vacancies advertised by local employers, the city council’s press service reports.
‘According to our statistical data, there are currently 5,405 people out of jobs in the city. In fact, the number of the unemployed was somewhat higher in June (5,493 people), while the number of vacancies was considerably smaller (16,691),’ the press service says.
Sverdlovsk Region’s official unemployment rate stood at 1.43% on August 27; for Yekaterinburg, the figure was 0.74%.
