December 16, 2014. Russian Copper Company Group won in the Urals & Siberia’s Achievements 2014 Contest as the Investment Project of the Year for implementation of two major investment projects: Mikheyevsky and Tominsky Ore Mining & Processing Enterprises (both based in Chelyabinsk Region), the Group reports.

The two projects required about 60bn RUR worth of investments. The launch of the processing enterprises will ensure the company’s raw resource independence for at least thirty years to come; important for the company that is known as one of Ural Federal District’s major taxpayers and employers.

Mikheyevsky was launched in December 2013, while Tominsky is undergoing all the final reconciliation procedures.

The contest prize winners are selected on the basis of a large-scale, three-level research involving some 500 experts. There is an average of twenty to thirty contestants for each prize category, with winners decided upon through vote majority.

The Group’s Vice President for Production Control & Investment Yuri Korol was the one to receive the award on behalf of the company.
