STM signs cooperation agreement with Kaluga Region

December 16, 2014. Governor of Kaluga Region Anatoly Artamonov and Sinara Transport Machines Director-General Evgeniy Gritsenko signed a socioeconomic cooperation agreement.

According to Sinara Group’s press service, the document was also signed by Kaluga’s First Deputy Mayor Konstantin Gorobtsov and Mayor of Lyudinovo Daniil Aganitchev.

‘The ceremony took place at Kaluga Philharmonic Concert hall during the solemn celebration of Kaluga Track Machines & Fluid Drive Plant’s 140th anniversary (Kalugaputmash is a member enterprise of Sinara Transport Machines Holding), the press service says.

The document states that STM keeps developing its large businesses, Kalugaputmash and Lyudinovo Locomotive Plant, in Kaluga and Lyudinovo in Kaluga Region, which helps keep up with the area’s sustainable development and improve the living standards. STM’s two plants here employ some 4,000 people, invest lavishly in production upgrades, and master new kinds of railway vehicles.

The agreement is valid for three years and aims to ensure cooperation in the field of vocational cadre training, environmental protection, and creation of a salubrious investment climate in Kaluga Region. For one, Kaluga Region Government and STM will work together on training highly skilled industrial workers and on protecting the area’s cultural heritage.
