November 27, 2014. 63,192 new light passenger vehicles were sold in Yekaterinburg in January-October 2014, which is 19% less than in the ten months of 2013, Auto Dealer Yekaterinburg reports.
‘Some brands made their best monthly sales in October thanks to the government fleet of vehicles renovation program that reached its full capacity last month,’ says Auto Dealer Yekaterinburg’s Director Mikhail Chaplygin.
Among the top ten best-selling brands, Renault (673 units, +8%) and Skoda (230 units, +16%)did the best, even though only Renault managed to increase its sales in September. Mitsubishi sold 202 cars (+31%) over the given period and Mazda’s sales improved by 4% (136 cars). All the other brands on the top twenty list did not manage to keep their sales up. Toyota (632 units, -3%) and Honda (109 units, -1%) suffered the least.
The sales of premium German brands did not rise, either: those of Mercedes-Benz dropped by a quarter, down to 73 cars, those of Audi and BMW declined by 31% (down to 76 cars) and 8% (down to 48 cars), respectively, while those of Lexus rose by 15% (up to 63 cars).
