November 10, 2104. Omsktransmash (a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Corporation) keeps working on large-scale repairs and remodeling: this year, nearly all of the plant’s departments were involved, the corporation’s press service reports.
A special focus was placed on the replacement of roofing in the production departments and on the remodeling of administration premises and sanitary facilities. 1,149 sq m worth of premises, 85,045 sq m worth of roofs, 3,200 sq m worth of window glazing, and 1,150 sq m worth of window frames were remodeled, repaired, or installed.
The new check passage is expected to open in less than a month’s time. This is, in fact, the busiest lodge at the plant, with 2,300 people checking in and out every day. This means every one in two plant workers checks in at this place on weekdays. The passage naturally grew shabbier over several decades, so the new one will welcome visitors within a few weeks: all the building jobs are nearly finished; the new passage will be completed in colors that will match the administration building, whose façade is now being repainted as well.
Check passage 3, whose reconstruction is also about to be completed, will present a new, ergonomic workspace layout: security staff and check-in managers’ offices as well as a visitor lounge are already available there. All of the plant’s check passages will be reconstructed eventually, upon which the company’s clocking-in and visitor access system will become computer-aided.
Remodeling of the Finance Department’s offices is nearly over as well. The department will be housed in one of Omsktransmash’s oldest buildings that was put up in 1901. This work is going ahead fast enough, as it is important to offer an office to more than a hundred of accountants and economists who are currently scattered all over the premises. Moving to a new, spacious building will unite and help complete the financial team.
The company will keep improving the employees’ working conditions next year. In 2015, check passage 2 and some ten departments will get renovated. Besides, the plant’s memorial square will be redesigned to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Victory Day. The square has hosted all the V-Day festivities for years.
