Uralvagonzavod to spend 300m RUR in head plant repairs

May 16, 2014. More than 299m RUR will be invested in repair jobs at Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation’s head plant in Nizhniy Tagil this year.

According to the corporation’s press service, the repairs have already started and will comprise reconstruction of roofs at production departments, medical units, and canteens and replacement of window panes.

This year, a total of 48,000 sq m of roofs will be repaired at a number of metallurgical, mechanical assembly, and carriage assembly departments. A total of 770 sq m of window panes will be replaced, and five chimneystacks will be repaired. The roads on the plant’s premises will also be repaired, with 4,000 sq m of new asphalt to be laid there.

‘What is more, renovated shower facilities will be introduced at the cistern department and mechanical assembly departments 2, 3, 4, and others. Canteens will be remodeled at metal goods department, mounted wheels department, and other parts of the plant. Replacing the roof of the company I.V. Okunev Palace of Culture will become one of the largest projects for the year. The area of this roof comes to 7,500 sq m,’ the company reports.
