Armada cyclists win prizes in ICU 2014 world championship

September 4, 2014. Cyclists from the Russian team Armada (sponsored by Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation) won prizes in the ICU 2014 para-cycling road world championship in Greenville, USA.

According to the corporation’s press service, winner of both stages in the world cup competition Sergey Ustinov was declared second best in the UCI rating (C3) after he won the silver medal in the course of an individual relay; he was only outstripped by an Irish sports player Eoghan Clifford.

Svetlana Moshkovich, who was only three points behind Sandra Graf from Switzerland and was the first in Class H4, won two silver medals in individual and group races. Moshkovich came second in the group relay, she reached the finishing line three seconds after the first-prize winner Christiane Reppe (Germany).

‘The Russian team’s coach Alexei Chunosov says the sports players did quite well and should now get a good rest for the future victories,’ Uralvagonzavod Corporation says.
