August 13, 2014. Member enterprises of Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation collected humanitarian aid for Ukrainian refugees.

According to the corporation’s press service, the employees of the corporation’s head plant in Nizhniy Tagil kept bringing in warm clothing and footwear for children and adults, toys, books, and stationery and writing supplies in the course of one week.

‘We managed to collect over sixty large packages with the necessary things. A GAZel truck delivered all this humanitarian aid to the Red Cross division in Nizhniy Tagil. From then, it will be distributed among the refugee asylums,’ the company says.

This is not the first time the company workers are trying to support the forced migrants. One and a half months ago, the plant sent two vans full of medications, diapers, and food items to the most affected cities in Southeast Ukraine – Lugansk and Donetsk. Besides, the workers of the automobile transport department collected some clothing items and delivered them to the refugees who were housed in Solovyinaya Roshcha sanatorium.
