Uralvagonzavod enterprises help flood victims in the Far East

October 29, 2013. Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation member enterprises are now helping flood victims in the Far East.

The corporation’s press service reports that workers from Saint Petersburg-based Central Scientific Research Institute of Materials bought 42 sets of bed sheets, blankets, and mattresses worth a total of 49,788 RUR, and this humanitarian aid was delivered to Saint Petersburg Social Welfare Center.

Head of Saint Petersburg Central District Adminsitration thanked the company workers for their ‘humanitarian aid to the victims of flood in Far Eastern Federal District, for their support and cooperation in solving the social problems of those who found themselves in dire straits’.

Workers of Omsk Transport Machine-Building Design Bureau collected and transferred 100,000 RUR to the flood victims. The same amount of money was directed to the victims by employees of Nizhniy Tagil-based Ural Transport Machine-Building Design Bureau.

The members of Yekaterinburg-based Uraltransmash trade union took part in the charity events as well: they directed some money to the support fund. Finally, the trade union members of Yekaterinburg-based Plant 9 decided to offer financial aid to the people of Amur Region. The trade union members voted unanimously for helping their fellow workers from the defense enterprises in the East.
