Median monthly pay in Yekaterinburg stands at 40,000 RUR in first half of 2014

July 10, 2014. In the first six months of 2014, the median monthly pay on Yekaterinburg job market came close to 40,000 RUR. At the same time, the unemployment rate – 0.49% - is one of the lowest in the country, Deputy Mayor of Yekaterinburg for Strategic Planning, Economics, and Finance Alexander Vysokinsky said on air during the Open Studio Yekaterinburg program.
According to Vysokinsky, Yekaterinburg has developed an economic system that is resistant to outer impact.
'The city remains on top in many socioeconomic development ratings, inclining the levels of pay, new housing construction, and turnover of goods. Besides, Yekaterinburg has been enjoying a natural increase in population over the last few years,' he said.
