Sverdlovskenergosbyt collects 800m RUR worth of debts through court

February 05, 2014. In 2013, Sverdlovskenergosbyt placed over 1,300 claims with the court relating to collection of 1.8bn RUR worth of debts owed to the power supplier by legal entities. So far, the company managed to collect more than 800m RUR, which is 30% more than a year earlier, the company's press service says.

Most of the power supplier's debtors are municipally-run communal housing utilities and services companies, with a proportion of for-profit companies and industrial enterprises as well as state-run organizations.

'Over a half of court claims worth more than 1bn RUR has already been ruled out in the favor of the guaranteeing supplier, and over 800m RUR were collected through court orders, which is 30% better than in 2012,' the press release states.

The debts of Sverdlovsk Region-based communal housing utilities and services companies increased by over 257m RUR and reached more than 2bn RUR last year.
