Pavel Shilyaev appointed acting DG of Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works

January 21, 2014. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) Board of Directors appointed Pavel Shilyaev acting Director-General as the provisional sole executive body. It was reported earlier that MMK former DG Boris Dubrovsky was temporarily appointed acting Governor of Chelyabinsk Region by the Russian President’s Decree dated January 15, 2014.
Pavel Shilyaev was born in Kurgan on July 3, 1970. He graduated from Chelyabinsk State Technical University with a degree in Electric Operation and Automation of Commercial Plants in 1992. In 2006, he was trained within the framework of the Efficiency Management Program in Stockholm School of Economics in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
Shilyaev arrived at MMK in 1993 and moved from an engineer to head of Technical Maintenance & Repair Center. In 2011, he was appointed MMK acting Chief Engineer, then acting Deputy Director-General for Production. He was appointed Deputy Director-General for Production in November 2011.
