Vitaly Galkin appointed MMK Key Customer Sales Director

December 5, 2014. Vitaly Galkin, the former Director-General of MMK Metalurji (MMK’s Turkey-based asset), was appointed Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) Key Customer Sales Director. Yuri Chaikovsky is now MMK Metalurji’s new DG, the company’s press service reports.

MMK Director-General Pavel Shilyaev says the company is extremely interested in making its cooperation with the key customers even more efficient and points out that ‘Vitaly Galkin’s professionalism and many years’ experience in the international business environment on the Eurasian border are the formula for success’.

‘MMK keeps improving on its sales and services (in today’s wide sense of the word) to make them meet the highest global standards. The approach aims to strengthen our long-term partnerships with the company’s metal goods consumers, with the carmakers, for example, and to make these partnerships more efficient and satisfying. A long-term partnership with customers will make it possible for the company to offer the best prices and service,’ MMK says.

Yuri Chaikovsky, who succeeded Vitaly Galkin in the position of MMK Metalurji Director-General, has already worked at MMK’s Turkish enterprise as head of the steel-smelting department; in addition to his expertise in the production field, he was also involved in strategic marketing and integration policy. MMK DG Pavel Shilyaev says ‘Yuri Chaikovsky has all the skills necessary to be successful and efficient in his new position.’
