TMK decides on first A.D. Deineko fellows

November 25, 2013. Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) decided on the first students to receive the A.D. Deineko Scholarship that was established by the company in the summer of 2013.

According to the company’s press service, three students of MISiS National Research Technological University were awarded the scholarship for their scientific and academic achievements in the metallurgical field.

TMK’s A.D. Deineko Scholarship was set up to support, encourage, and invite to the company’s member enterprises the most gifted students. The scholarship was named in the honor of Alexander D. Deineko (1948-2013), Russia’s Honored Metallurgist, winner of the Russian Federation State Prize, MISiS graduate (Class of 1971), and head of the Pipe Industry Development Fund in 2003-2013.

Under the terms of the scholarship, fellows are selected among the day-time seniors of MISiS Chair of Pipe Production Technology and Equipment with an impressive GPA for the last two semesters. The scholarship is awarded for one academic year and will be paid monthly to the three students who were decided upon at the end of the selection process as candidates who have fully met all the requirements. The scholarship amounts to 5,500 RUR a month. After they graduate, the fellows will be invited for a job interview by TMK Personnel & Social Policies Directorate.
