Uralvagonzavod fully meets target production figures in first half of 2013

October 4, 2013. Uralvagonzavod coordinated one of its regular report presentations dedicated to issues relating to the production activity of Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s head plant and to complying with the company Collective Agreement in the first half of 2013, the corporation’s press service reports.

‘The target production figures for both railway produce and special vehicles are met in full. Our mechanical assembly departments fulfill the government orders accurately and timely. The carriage assembly department is now switching to mass production of its innovative 12-196-01 gondola car. The old 12-132 one is expected to be phased out by January 2014. What is more, the company is working on the launch of new goods that enjoy demand on the market, including tank cars,’ the press release says.

To enhance the business profitability and to build on its market share, Uralvagonzavod pays great attention to technical upgrades. In the six months of 2013 alone, the company received and commissioned 147 items of technological equipment that are worth a total of 415m RUR. The economic effect is estimated at 173m RUR.
