September 9, 2013. 228,554 people registered with Sverdlovsk Region government employment agencies in January-July 2013 (compared with 291,211 people a year earlier), of whom 98,284 people needed help finding a suitable job (compared with 100,065 people a year earlier), Sverdlovsk Region Labor & Employment Department’s press service reports.

The share of people who were currently jobless in the total number of those registered was 69.8%. In January-July 2013, 39,311 people were declared jobless (compared with 44,702 people a year earlier).

175,385 potential employees and 10,903 employers were informed of the job market situation by Sverdlovsk Region government employment agencies.

Over these seven months, 98,091 people un-registered with the agencies, most of them — (69.9%) – because they found new jobs, 5.5% — because they started their vocational qualification studies, 1.3% — because they reached pension-paying age, and 2.3% un-registered for other reasons.
