August 9, 2013. SKB-Bank's own money order system called beGOm keeps expanding. The service was recently made available at 150 offices of Eskhata Bank located in some 20 cities and towns of Tajikistan, the bank's press officer says.

Customers can now benefit from BeGOm services at 489 branches of various Kyrgyzstan- and Tajikistan- based banks. Last year, Bakai Bank and Aiyl Bank from Kyrgyzstan joined the system, and Eskhata Bank from Tajikistan followed suit in March 2013; in April, beGOm was introduced at Kyrgyzstan-based EcoIslamicBank.

What makes beGOm money orders so convenient is SKB-Bank's extensive branch network – there are over 200 outlets in 135 cities in Russia. The system allows a user to send or to receive up to 500,000 RUR instantaneously. The reason why this is so fast is that the transaction is performed without opening a bank account, plus everything happens within a single bank system, which cuts down tremendously on the time it takes to transfer the money. In fact, not only the delivery time but also the commission are kept down to a minimum. What is more, the procedure is very simple: no long codes to remember, no texts with the money order details need to be sent to the addressee, all you need to know is their passport number.
