February 6, 2013. MegaFon is now opening its customers unlimited Internet access for traveling around Russia. The subscribers can now enjoy the unlimited Internet access around the country using the updated Internet XS option, MegaFon Ural’s press officer reports.

‘The popularity of mobile Internet connection during trips keeps on rising. At the moment, over 50% of subscribers who use their mobile phones to make calls while traveling are also using their gadgets for Internet access. Given that a business trip outside one’s federal constituency lasts for seven days on average, the Internet XS options means mobile Internet access around Russia will be 30 times cheaper,’ says MegaFon Ural Commercial Director Sergey Alferov.

Under this new option, a subscriber is offered 100Mb of Internet traffic without any speed limitations. This is quite enough comfortably to use social networks, get weather forecast updates, and check one’s e-mails while traveling. Also, any user can double the daily volume of traffic by using the Turbo-Button option.
