July 25, 2013. Deputy Director-General for Sales of Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) Nikolai Lyadov and the enterprise's Director for Foreign Economic Activity Alexander Ushakov issued a dealer's certificate to UralMetallinvest (Uralsk, Kazakhstan) A dealership agreement was also signed with the Kazakh firm, MMK Information & PR Department reports.

'This is a first-time experience of this kind for the company. MMK did not use to have any official dealers in the near and far abroad before. So issuing a certificate to UralMetallinvest is all the more important. This company fully meets all the requirements that we have for the potential authorized dealers,' Lyadov said.

The list of requirements includes a proviso of at least three years' partnership experience with MMK and a condition to purchase at least 3,000 tons of goods from MMK every month and not to violate the terms of payment. And, most importantly, the share of MMK's produce in the total volume of goods the company is selling on its market must come to at least 5%, which gives MMK certain competitive advantages and a chance to expand its share of this or that local market.
