207 illegal immigrants detained in Ural Federal District in six months of 2013

July 25, 2013. Ural Federal District division of the Internal Affairs Ministry reports on the results of their Operation Illegal Immigrant that was carried out in cooperation with the officers from the local divisions of the Federal Migration Service and the Federal Security Service.
The division's press service reports that 19 such operations were performed in Ural Federal District's federal constituencies in the first half of 2013; 207 people were detained and 124 administrative offense reports were written relating to foreign subjects or apatrides.
'The illegal migrants in question had to face liability for violating the frontier regime and the entry and residence regulations, and for lacking the job permits. The police officers also looked into the affairs of the employers who used illegal foreign labor,' the press service says.
What's more, two members of international radical Islam terrorist groups were detained in Magnitogorsk and Yekaterinburg in the course of police searches.
All in all, the Operation Illegal Immigrant resulted in confiscation of 22 issues of magazines and newspapers that are classed as extremist and are actually placed on the Federal Extremist Materials list.
As a result, 22 foreign citizens have been deported to their home countries.
