Innoprom 2013 findings to be considered in bill on Russia’s industrial policy

July 1, 2013. This year, the Innoprom 2013 exhibition will serve as a venue for discussing relevant fields in which the Russian industry could develop with a number of foreign experts; the key findings of this discussion will be used for drafting a special bill on the country’s industrial policy that will be ready as soon as by the end of 2013, Russia’s Deputy Minister for Industry & Science Georgiy Kalamanov told the media at a press conference that took place in Moscow on the eve of the Inventor & Innovator’s Day.

510 companies from 70 different countries will join the 4th International Industrial Exhibition Innoprom that will be held in Yekaterinburg on July 11-14, 2013. This year’s theme is Global Industry; Strategies & Risks,’ the Director of Innoprom business agenda Anton Atrashkin reports.

For one, Schneider Electric is taking part in Innoprom for the second time in a row this year and feels that the exhibition has strategic importance for the development of business in Russia. This year, the company will feature one of the largest stands at the exhibition: it will be over 150 sq m big. The German energy company’s president Jean-Louis Stasi will act as a speaker in many of the events on the agenda. He says Schneider Electric is actively investing in the Russian territories development, including Yekaterinburg industry, as this city is growing ever-more attractive due to its aspirations to host the World Exhibition EXPO 2020.
