May 20, 2013. Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant (ChTZ, a member of Uralvagonzavod Corporation), shipped 2 electromechanical transmission bulldozers to one of the mining companies in the Polar North that deals in mineral deposit development, Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s press service reports.
The company needed the vehicles in the high drawbar category for uncovering solid soils and producing the minerals. The miners were choosing out of the Chinese and Russian products and decided on the ChTZ bulldozers. They say their choice was influenced by the fact that Chelyabinsk-produced vehicles are reliable, low-maintenance, and have the electromechanical transmission that allows an operator to regulate the tractive effort automatically at any speed.
The miners are planning to use the bulldozers that are fitted with special attached implements, including those for rock loosening. The upgraded running gear of the bulldozers gets adjusted to the surface relief, which means the loosening will be made easier.
