MegaFon awards Russian children’s football championship winners

April 25, 2013. The second stage of Russian football championship for children from orphanages and boarding schools took place in Perm recently. The winners’ cups and trips to Sochi where the final stage of the championship will be held were awarded to the teams from Kirov and Tobolsk, MegaFon’s press service reports.

The all-Ural stage of the football championship for children who have no parents was attended by the young sportsplayers from ten different territories in the Greater Urals. The judges’ team was chaired by President of Perm Territory Mini-Football Federation and Director of Amkar Children’s Football Club Igor Egovtzev.

After a series of competitions, the first prize went to the team from Tobolsk in the older children category and to the Kirov-based team in the junior league.

‘The winning teams will represent the Urals in the final stage of the championship when they travel to the coast of the Black Sea, that is, to the capital of the winter Olympics 2013 that will welcome children from all over the world. The young football players will be offered a very busy sports and entertainment program and, of course, the final game that will determine the team that will go to London and visit Arsenal, one of the world’s most successful football clubs,’ says MegaFon Ural’s PR Director Lyudmila Stolyarova.
