UrBC, Yekaterinburg, March 30, 2017. The first round of a football championship involving children from foster homes and boarding schools for orphans will take off in Yekaterinburg on March 30. The event, called The Future Depends on You, is coordinated by the telecommunications provider MegaFon, the company press service reports.

‘Footballers from foster homes and boardings schools based in eight Sverdlovsk Region town and cities will compete for the privilege of representing their constituency in the championship’s final round in Sochi. These are children who practice football as a hobby alongside music, science, reading, and acting. Every one of them will get a chance to prove a great sports player and win a trip of their dreams,’ the press service says.

Twenty football teams from Yekaterinburg, Kamyshlov, Nizhniye Sergi, Serov, Alapayevsk, Berezovsky, Pervouralsk, Verkhnyaya Pyshma, and Verkhny Tagil will take part in the Sverdlovsk Region round of the championship. There will be 160 contestants altogether.
