ChTZ Tractors to Operate at Kara Sea Coast

March 13, 2013. Four swamp tractors T-10MB produced by Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant Uraltrac (ChTZ) will be added to the fleet of vehicles operated by Arktikatransexcavatsiya, the spokesperson for Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation reports.
The tractors will operate on the coast of the Kara Sea in Yamalo-Nenetsky Autonomous Region and will be used for building infrastructure for the O&G companies and improving ice roads. The tractors will be used both as tow cars and bulldozers: the end users can attach the swamp units to them themselves, for which purpose the tractors were fitted with fluid power cylinders at the plant.
The representatives of a North-based customer called the enterprise when they needed new vehicles. A mechanic from a construction company named Mindibay Iskhakov said that the companies based in the North know ChTZ products quite well. His company is currently using over 50 Chelyabinsk-manufactured machines, including pipe-laying vehicles and drilling units based on ChTZ tractors, both of which can be used in harsh climate conditions. Now the new swamp tractors will be added to the fleet.
