Uralisolator Partially Halted for 60 Days

1 November 2012 (18:15)

November 1, 2012. Two sections of Kamyshlov Uralisolator Plant were closed down for 60 days due to Labor Code violations, Sverdlovsk Region State Labor Inspectorate’s press service reports.

A scheduled multi-faceted inspection of how the plant complied with the labor legislation requirements revealed that the emery stand in the transportation department was operating without a safety cover. What is more, the turret lathe was operated without the protective aids that shielded the operation zone at Assembly Department 5.

As a result, the court ruled that Kamyshlov Uralisolator Plant was guilty of an administrative offense as stated in Article 5.27 (part 1) of the Russian Federation Administrative Offense Code, and imposed administrative suspension of activities on the plant. So the emery stand in the transportation department and the turret lathe in Assembly Department 5 were shut down for 60 days.
