‘On behalf of the Ministry for Industry & Trade of the Russian Federation, I congratulate you on your professional special event: Trooper’s Day. The workers’ professionalism and many years’ experience mean that the most daring goals can be achieved, including retention of the position of the world’s market leader. To fulfill a number of crucial tasks, such as the launch of innovational technologies, production facilities upgrades, and building up on cadre potential, the government will keep investing in this industry’s development. I am positive that thanks to the combination of the latest technologies and the best experience the Russian industry has to offer, the tank-building business has a great future ahead of it. I wish you health, well-being, and success in your work for the good of Russia!’, the wire says.

There are good reasons why Trooper’s Day is considered one of Uralvagonzavod’s employees special days. The Russian tank-building giant emerged in 1941: when the Great Patriotic War broke out, Ural Carriage-Making Plant switched to making tanks. Over 25,000 legendary T-34 tanks were manufactured at the plant in the three and a half war years that followed. T-34 is considered the main piece of armament responsible for the victory in the war and is still seen as the paragon of design for the entire global tank-building industry.
