Sinara Pipe Plant Employees Awarded at Metal 2012 Conference

Experts from Sinara Pipe Plant (a member of Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK)) took part in the international technical conference Metal 2012 on the premises of Byelorussian Metallurgical Palnt in Zhlobin, Byelorussia, TMK press service reports.

Over 130 participants from different countries attended the conference. The Russian delegation comprises five young experts from Sinara Pipe Plant; they joined four out of the forum’s eleven sections and demonstrated a great level of project preparedness everywhere.

At the end of the conference, a report on the methods of enhancing IT systems’ maintenance characteristics was declared the best in the IT section. The report was made by Sinara Pipe Plant Chief Engineer/Programmer from the Automated Control Systems Support & Development Department Viktor Talanov. A report on the marginal analysis technologies by the economist from the Planning & Economics Department Olga Proshkina was declared the second best in the Economics, Finance, Sales, & Marketing section. A special diploma was given to the plant’s Financial Resource Management Department economist Natalya Sitnikova in the same section. Her report dwelled on hedging as a stock market management technique. A report on mastering the insulated lift pipe production at Sinara Pipe Plant by Head of Central Lab Group Alexander Pugin was declared the second best in the Rolled Products section. As for the Energy-Saving section, a report on the application of heating oil dispensers at power plants by Supplied and Machinery Provision Director Maxim Barkhatov was declared the third best.

‘These impressive results of our young innovators taking part in an international conference are one proof of the efficiency of scientific research at the plant. TMK aspires to use the most advanced technologies and innovations in all the areas of management and production, which creates incentives for the young employees to do scientific research and implement creative solutions and bold ideas in the production process,’ says Sinara Pipe Plant Managing Director Sergey Chetverikov.
