Court to Process Bank Uralsib, Bank VTB’s Claims against Ural-Hotel-Standard
14 June 2012 (09:23)
Sverdlovsk Region Arbitration Court has accepted Bank Uralsib’s application regarding being placed on the list of Ural-Hotel-Standard’s creditors; the bank’s claims amount to 432.01m RUR. The same decision was made in relation to Bank VTB, whose claims come to 651.17m RUR. Both claims are to be heard on June 20, 2012.
Now on April 12, 2012 an observation procedure involving Ural-Hotel-Standard was launched. Sergey Ryvkin was appointed the debtor’s trustee in bankruptcy.
At the same time, the Internal Affairs Ministry keeps investigating another case. According to the Ministry’s Main Investigative Administration in Sverdlovsk Region, a number of companies owned by a businessman called Andrei Palferov (including Ural-Hotel-Standard) obtained over 2bn RUR worth of borrowed money using forged documentation. Palferov is now involved in a criminal lawsuit, with charges based on Article 176 (part 1) of the Russian Federation Criminal Code (getting a loan with the help of knowingly false information).
The entrepreneur is now on the federal ‘wanted’ list.
