Seversky Pipe Plant to launch energy-saving project with help from NL Agency

A joint working team comprising the representatives of Seversky Pipe Plant and NL Agency under the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation will be working on an energy-saving project that will be implemented at the plant, the Governor’s PR Department reports.

The Dutch energy-saving experts arrived in Sverdlovsk Region on March 29. Their two-day visit comprised a trip to the plant, where the plant’s management presented them the company’s production technologies and had a look at the Dutch party’s presentation on improvements in the field of energy-saving for metallurgical enterprises.

According to the Dutch delegates, the already existing energy-saving technologies at Seversky Pipe Plant and the company’s fifteen-year energy efficiency enhancement program came as a pleasant surprise.

‘We believe that cooperating in the field of energy audit will bring benefits and experience to both parties involved,’ says NL Agency counselor Cornelius Mokveld.

This means the plant will become the second joint project of the Dutch auditors and the Russian enterprises. A similar project was launched at Proletarsky Plant in Saint Petersburg earlier; this one resulted from Russia’s Ministry for Industry & Trade and the Netherlands’ Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation.
