PNTZ to get Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Prize for Energy Saving

December 20, 2013. Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant (PNTZ, a member enterprise of ChTPZ Group) was declared the winner of the Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Prize for Energy Saving in 2013; the plant won in the category denominated as Mining & Metallurgical Facility Organization, the plant's press service reports.
In 2013, PNTZ carried out a set of measures that saved the company 80m RUR. For one, the lighting in the four departments was replaced with the more modern kind, an automatic control system was launched at the compressor plant of the gas department, and a filtering facility was installed at the recirculation water system unit. The construction of this unit is part of PNTZ's long-term environmental program for 2011-2015. All in all, 420m RUR were invested in the construction and start-up and commissioning jobs.
The annual Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Prize for Energy-Saving is awarded on the eve of the Energy Industry Worker's Day and is targeted at the promotion and implementation of the government's energy-saving policy, enhancing energy efficiency, and encouraging companies to save resources, and introduce new technologies and launch new equipment. The awards are given out in eight categories.
