Sony Calls off 1.6m Bravia TV Sets
13 October 2011 (09:53)
The Japanese Corporation announced it was going to call off 1.6m LCD Bravia TV sets after customers started taking them back to the store for repairs; the general complaint was that ‘the TV sets are smoldering’.
According to Reuters, this ‘special effect’ has to do with the fact that some parts of the TV sets happen to melt, producing smoke and an unpleasant smell. The TV sets will be called off all over the world, the agency says.
