Evraz Group becomes world’s 12th largest steelmaker

Evraz Group, Russia’s leading steelmaker, was declared the world’s 12th largest producer by experts from the International Cast Iron and Steel Institute. Ural Airlines complemented its set of Yekaterinburg-Moscow flights with a new U6 264 one. 64 people wounded in train crash

64 people were wounded as a result of Chelyabinsk-Simferopol train 279 colliding with a freight train. 12 people (including one child) had to be taken to hospital. The accident occurred between Liski, Voronezh Region, and Valuyki, Belgorod Region, on June 17, 2007. Russian Railways originally announced that the passenger train engine crashed into the last carriage attached to the freight train and made it come off.
