Hungarian consulate in Yekaterinburg offers Danish visas

Starting February 15, 2011, Hungarian Consulate General in Yekaterinburg will be offering travelers Schengen Visas on behalf of the Kingdom of Denmark. ‘The terms of getting a Danish visa are no different from the general Schengen visa requirements. Hungarian Consulate-General in Yekaterinburg has been entitled to issuing Schengen visas to Latvia beginning from August 15, 2008 after the corresponding bilateral agreement was signed by the Republic of Hungary and the Republic of Latvia’s governments. ‘The list of documents the applicants must provide for their Schengen visas to Latvia and the consular fees are exactly the same as the ones you need to submit and pay to enter any country of the Schengen area,’ the spokesperson for the Ministry for International and Foreign Economic Relations of Sverdlovsk Region reports.

Starting July 1, 2011, the Hungarian Consulate General in Yekaterinburg is going to issue Schengen visas to Slovakia for those who need them. Now the consulate can also issue Schengen visas to Austria, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Latvia, and Slovenia.

According to the Minister for International and Foreign Economic Relations of Sverdlovsk Region Viktor Koksharov, the residents of Sverdlovsk Region will be able to obtain Schengen visas in the German consulate located in Yekaterinburg starting this December. Mr Koksharov said that the consulate was currently waiting for the visa-issuing equipment to arrive from Germany. Russian citizens from the other regions will only be able to get visas after the consulate, situated in Atrium Palace Hotel at the moment, moves to its new building.

German Consul General in Yekaterinburg Tilo Klinner feels the consulate’s major achievement lies in the introduction of a visa section that is currently working on visas for all the applicants from Ural Federal District and Perm Territory. Before the end of this year, the consulate will also start issuing visas for applicants from the Republic of Bashkortostan and Orenburg Region. Over 4,000 visas in just one month (including more than 1,000 business type ones) have been issued for the first time this July.
