New housing output doubles in Sverdlovsk Region in 2014
October 17, 2014. 1,398,400 sq m worth of new housing got commissioned in Sverdlovsk Region in January-September 2014, which exceeded the figures for January-September 2013 by 1.9 times, Sverdlovskstat reports.
16,023 apartments were built (compared with 8,175 apartments a year earlier); there was an average of 324 sq m worth of new housing per 1,000 residents (compared with 169 sq m in January-September 2013). In the nine months of 2014, the new housing output was higher than a year earlier in 55 cities and towns in Sverdlovsk Region.
As for Yekaterinburg, 633,900 sq m of new housing were commissioned in January-September 2014, which constitutes 45.3% of all the housing put up in Sverdlovsk Region over this period and is 1.9 times better than in the three quarters of 2013.
