Bank Severnaya Kazna stopped operating as a legal entity with such a name on April 20, 2011. The application for listing the bank as liquidated through a merger was placed with the state body in charge of registering legal entities.

The Bank of Russia announced in late March that Bank Severnaya Kazna had begun merging with Alfa-Bank.
