Yekaterinburg-Kazakhstan trade turnover goes down 17.8%

Yekaterinburg Customs transferred 12.9 billion RUR to the Russian budget in 2010, which was 1.1 billion RUR greater than in the year 2009.
The turnover of goods within the Customs area went up by 22.2%; the freight turnover rose by 8.2%, with 11.5% more of cargo manifests processed by the customs officials. In addition, the number of agents involved in foreign economic activity increased by 5% and reached 1,814 legal entities, Ural Customs Administration’s press officer reports.
Now with the lifting of border restrictions between Russia and Kazakhstan the foreign trade turnover went down by 6.35% and the turnover of goods dropped by 17.18%.
