OAO Ural Airlines reached its best-ever performance results in 2010, which was all in accordance with the company’s business development plan. For the first time last year, the company flew over 1.5 million passengers within twelve months. The exact figure came to 1.79 million people, which was 20% better than in 2009.
661,400 people used Ural Airlines’ international flights, of whom 167,190 passengers took scheduled flights; this was 59% more than in the year 2009.
‘Such performance was made possible due to the introduction of quite a few new flights last year. For one, Ural Airlines launched flights from Yekaterinburg to Rome, Istanbul, Vienna, Sofia, and Sanya. In addition, Dubai-bound flights were introduced in the strategically important cities of Ufa and Kazan, and new flights from Samara to Pula and Riga appeared as well,’ the company reports.
