Sverdlovsk Region’s Defense Industry’s Output to Go up 30% in 2012

The amount of goods produced by Sverdlovsk Region’s defense industry will be nearly 30% greater in 2012 than in 2011, the region’s Industry & Science Minister Vladislav Pinayev says. The share of military and special-purpose products comes to about 50% of all the goods produced in the defense sector. The government orders also rose by nearly two times against last year, the region’s Press Service Administration reports.

Illegitimate Apartment Block Pulled Down in Yekaterinburg

On September 12, an illegitimately built multi-storey apartment building was pulled down in Yekaterinburg. The city council and Ordzhonikidzevsky Department of Court Bailiffs supervised the dismantling jobs at 115 Botkinskaya St. Earlier on, the pull-down jobs were stopped after Yekaterinburg Ordzhonikidzevsky District court ruled on April 27, 2011 that the implementation of its decrees could be postponed. Sverdlovsk Region Government Prime Minister Denis Pasler held a work meeting with head of the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development for Ural Federal District and Perm Territory Evgeny Ofrikhter. Ural Airlines’ Passenger Turnover Grows 30% in August

Ural Airlines looked into its performance results in August 2012. The company flew 427,612 passengers last month, which is 31% more than in August 2011. All in all, 2,335,489 passengers have used the airline’s services since the start of the year. On August 14, Ural Airlines checked in its 2,000,000th passenger, the airline’s press service reports. In August 2012, Ural Airlines operated 2,736 flights (23% more than in August 2011). This included 1,287 international flights, 944 domestic flights, and 505 flights around the CIS. Vitaly Mutko Says Yekaterinburg is Ready to Host World Cup 2018

Yekaterinburg is totally ready to host the world football championship of 2018.
