URSA Bank sets up 7 new offices in Urals

4 July 2008 (08:23)

URSA Bank set up seven new additional offices in the Urals, that is, in Perm, Ufa, Chelyabinsk, Surgut, and Yekaterinburg. This large-scale expansion is part of URSA Bank’s Ural branch’s subsidiary network development program. This year, twenty-five more offices will be introduced in the Urals, Western Siberia, and the Volga region.

RBC.Rating reports URSA Bank was rated Russia’s 6th largest bank in terms of the number of cities (populated by at least 50,000 people) where the bank operated on January 1, 2008.

‘The new offices are mainly designed to service private customers; this is why we chose their whereabouts on the basis of the general retail bank’s location requirements: they are easy to get to and there are shopping malls and transport junctions and stops,’ says URSA Bank’s Ural branch’s CEO Alexei Mizyulin.

‘Apart from expanding region-wise, that is, building up our share of the Ural market, we have to expand our target audience as well. We intend to achieve this goal by offering convenient services to all kinds of customers from business people to retirees,’ he notes.
