Hewlett-Packard coordinated a region-wide conference on software products in Yekaterinburg. The informational coverage was provided by UralBusinessConsulting Agency of Information and Analytics. More than 170 enterprises’ executives, solution providers, and reporters met to discuss the latest IT advances’ potential.

Hewlett-Packard presented one of its newest IT products: HP Service Manager based on HP Service Desk and Peregrine Service Center. In addition, the company announced it had managed to make its НР Service Manager and HP Asset Manager country-specific, which means that both programs are fully fit to function anywhere in Russia and have been provided with complete Cyrillic versions. Then, Hewlett-Packard also gave the conference participants a chance to get acquainted with their full IT and business technologies management portfolio, complete with both the traditional managerial fields like service management, operating control, and configuration control and relatively new ones like project portfolio administration, quality management, and data processing center control. The latter field was introduced by Hewlett-Packard due to working with Mercury, Peregrine, and Opsware

‘We are now witnessing the IT evolution: these technologies help a business move forward, giving it the necessary competitive advantage. This means IT infrastructure needs to be transformed into a flexible business asset,’ says HP Russia’s Software Solutions Director Sergey Lobov.

Sergey Lobov believes the company offers good IT solutions to both large and small businesses.

The forum/conference was normally held in Moscow, but this year, a number of conferences were organized in other parts of Russia. Yekaterinburg was chosen due to its proximity to the Urals’ large industrial enterprises with extensive IT infrastructures that need to be upgraded.
