Toyota Camry might still be a long wait, Toyota Center Vostok says

‘We expect the first shipment of Toyota Camry cars assembled in Russia to arrive this April. In terms of quality, these automobiles are just as good as the ones made in Japan, while the 9% decrease in price was brought about by the desire to lure more customers in,’ Natalya Malakhova from Toyota Center Vostok’s Marketing Department said to UrBC.

Toyota intends to start selling Toyota Camry cars made in Russia on March 31, 2008.

‘At the moment, our customers have to wait for up to six months before their car arrives – that’s what our contract says. Toyota has not yet commented on whether this waiting period will become less lengthy for Camry cars after they begin to get assembled in this country,’ Ms Malakhova added.
