‘RUSAL is going to implement six social welfare programs in Sverdlovsk Region according to a certain schedule. Each program has some strict deadlines. A presentation called One Hundred Cool Projects has already taken place in Yekaterinburg. The next point on the agenda is moving on to the Step over the Horizon program,’ RUSAL Social Welfare Projects Center CEO Igor Sukhotin said to UrBC.

The One Hundred Cool Projects contest has been held for the fifth time this year; it was the first time the contest was hosted by Sverdlovsk Region. Principals, teachers, and students from a number of educational establishments and representatives of children-centered NGOs and social welfare organizations were invited to attend the event. UC RUSAL aims to award 100,000 RUR to those seventh- to tenth-grade high school students whose projects win the competition. In addition, 20,000 RUR will be granted to winning projects presented by sixth-grade students. The company is going to spend 17,000,000 RUR on these grants altogether.
