The final tour of Russia’s Best Banker contest has recently taken place in Moscow. The event was coordinated by the Association of Regional Banks of Russia, the Association of Russian Banks, and the Finance Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation Some leading Russian bankers, including First Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia Georgiy Luntovskiy, First Executive Vice President of Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Alexander Murychev, President of the Association of Russian Banks Garegin Tosunian, President of the Association of Regional Banks of Russia Anatoly Aksakov, and President of the Finance Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation Alla Gryaznova, attended the closing ceremony.
The contest winners were awarded with diplomas and prizes by Sergey Stepashin of the Accounts Chamber.
The contest has been held for the second time this year; it aims to identify the most efficient banking executives of the year through evaluation by an ad hoc committee that looks into the competitors’ managerial skills, the level of their banks’ trustworthiness, reliability, stability, and dynamic development as well as the quality of customer service, development of subsidiary network, and social benefit schemes.
‘This award can be seen as praising all of our bank’s employees who prove that their performance has been productive and harmonious. We have been expanding at a very fast pace: our subsidiaries are now based not only in the Urals but also in Siberia, the Volga region, and the south of Russia. Our turnover has been going up as well. And I’m positive we’ll keep up with these growth rates,’ says Mikhail Hodorovskiy.
