Large-scale construction projects can’t do without highly qualified professionals, says RENOVA Stroy Group that is trying to use the best people for the job when dealing with the Academic construction project.
For one thing, the company has recently employed Fedor Seleznev, who has been the head of UralNIIAS Institute for over 6 years, in the capacity of Design Work Manager. UralNIIAS is a multi-disciplinary research center for design and construction that specializes in both industrial and civil buildings as well as acts as the general contractor.
‘I am attracted to RENOVA Stroy Group by the scale of the challenges I’ve been faced with. The would-be Academic district of Yekaterinburg (which equals in size to many Russian regional centers) is a unique chance to reveal one’s professional skills,’ Mr. Seleznev explains.
According to Stanislav Pridvizhkin, the project manager, engaging highly qualified professionals is one of the company’s policies. ‘Like most of Russia, Yekaterinburg needs experienced designers. The thing is, there was almost no demand for this kind of work since the beginning of the 90s, the pay was quite low, which is why many professionals just moved on to do other things. However, designers are crucial to any project as no building is possible without them,’ Mr. Pridvizhkin says.
